Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated full-time surveyor. Responsibilities include completing topographic surveys and construction staking, gathering data for field survey and mapping procedures; preparing legal descriptions; performing quality assurance and control for incoming and outgoing data; communicating with current and potential clients; computing and adjusting processed data to county and state plane coordinates; calculating and consolidating survey data for mapping and descriptions. A valid driver’s license, extended hours and overnight stays will be required.
The successful candidate will have an associate degree (or higher) in land surveying, civil engineering, or related field.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: field survey, data collection, topographic surveys and construction staking; AutoCAD Civil 3D software; using GPS and robotic total stations to perform construction staking and topographic and boundary surveys; surveying principles, including legal descriptions, horizontal and vertical control, and as-built surveys.
